The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+ features a 64-bit Broadcom BCM2837B0 application processor running at 1.2GHz with 1GB LPDDR2 SDRAM. Currently, developers can choose 8GB, 16GB, 32GB eMMC flash or no "Lite" version of eMMC flash to meet their storage needs.

“There are always customers telling us that the ease of use of the Raspberry Pi is very attractive to them when choosing a development board. More than one-third* of Raspberry Pi customers use this board for professional design.” Premier Farnell and e-Link Hari Kalyanaraman, global director of single-board computers and emerging business units, said. “The new Raspberry Pi compute module is popular, not only for better ease of use and enhanced thermal performance, but also for a variety of memory options that add flexibility. When developers need additional memory, there is no need to customize the motherboard. Being able to bring products to market faster."

Eben Upton, CEO of Raspberry Pi Trading, said: "With the introduction of the new Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+, we are now able to offer a full line of single-board computers and modular systems based on the latest high-performance Broadcom BCM2837B0 chip. The Computation Module 3+ can simultaneously Meeting the needs of creators and professional engineers, it offers enhanced thermal performance, a wider temperature range and more storage options, while providing users with access to the world's leading Raspberry Pi community and software ecosystem."

Key features of the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3 + include:

• Processor: The Broadcom BCM2837B0 system-on-chip with a 64-bit quad-core Cortex-A53 running at 1.2GHz.

• Multimedia: H.264 and MPEG-4 decoding (1080p30); H.264 encoding (1080p30); OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics.

• Support for SD card: CM3+/Lite connects the SD card interface to the module pins, allowing the user to connect to an external eMMC device or SD card.

• Ambient temperature: The applicable temperature range is -20 to +70 degrees Celsius.

Production of the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+ will last at least until January 2024.

The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+ is available as a standalone board or development kit that includes the Raspberry Pi Compute Module I/O board, the Raspberry Pi CM3+/32GB module, the Raspberry Pi CM3+/Lite module, and the monitor and camera adapter.
